Greetings from KA!
Greetings from Kindergarten!
WOW!!! May just flew by. It is hard to believe that June is already upon us. I am sad to see everyone move on, but looking forward to a wonderful summer vacation. Your child has grown so much this year. I have been blessed in having a wonderful group of children to work with. Parents have been great too. I can’t say enough about having the help of Mrs. Breton this year. This year of teaching has been a wonderful experience. I am proud to be a member of the Infant Jesus Community.
Your child has learned so much and is ready to move on to first grade. I will miss each and every one of them. I hope you enjoy your summer. Please continue to work with your child on skills they have learned throughout the year. Please check out the June calendar.
As you can see, there are many activities to attend. I will do my best to be at most activities, but there are conflicts as I have a senior and a sixth grader that are graduating this June.
During May we worked on and completed a unit on time. We learned about life around the pond and we continue working on phonemic awareness. We celebrated Mary this month and were able to see all the first communicants at the May liturgy. Our visit to Greenbriar was a wonderful experience. Our Fuel up to Play 60 event was great. Please check out the Telegraph’s website to see our class participating in this event.
In June we will continue learning about our community helpers. We will also be learning beginning addition and subtraction. We will celebrate Joshua’s birthday on the third, Destiny’s on the 15th and Colin T’s. on the 16th. We will have a summer birthday celebration for all those students with summer birthdays on the 10th. Those students can bring in something to share (Please let me know what you plan to bring by Thursday June 3rd).
Kindergarten Olympic Day is set for MONDAY JUNE 7, 2010 at school. The rain date will be 6/8. The parent group will be providing lunch. Please wear a shirt the color assigned to you. This will be in a notice sent home. Thanks to all the volunteers that are planning on helping.
Kindergarten Summer Sensation Celebration:
Monday June 21, 2010 9:30-11:00am In the Cafeteria.
The kindergarteners will be performing an end of the year celebration for families to see. Cake and punch will be served. I will be sending out invitations soon for you to RSVP with the number planning to attend.
Check out our June calendar to see what’s ahead..
